General Kitchen Assistant – Permanent Position
10 hours per week (2hrs/day. 12pm – 2pm)
Monday to Friday (Term Time Only + 7 days)
Band 3 SCP 2 £11.59 /hr
Pay award Apr 24 to be applied to this rate and when agreed, will be increased and backdated
Start Date – 2nd September 2024
From September 2024, Silsden Primary School will be managing our own catering provision and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly committed General Kitchen Assistant to join our existing team of Catering Staff.
We are looking for someone with a positive approach to this key role. Relevant catering experience is not essential. Full training will be given for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the school Catering Manager to provide a complete catering service within a school environment.
- To support the Catering Manager and Assistant to prepare, cook and serve over 350 meals for a set time and in accordance with Quality Procedures.
- Prepare the dining room and service area. Serve the meal attractively and hygienically.
- Undertake daily cleaning routines of the kitchen and equipment
